STORY
Next Door Kitchen is a nonprofit organization founded by Kaitlyn, a sophomore in high school. While having a lot of free time because of the pandemic and quarantine, Kaitlyn came up with several organization and service ideas, and one of those was what has now become Next Door Kitchen.
The name "Next Door Kitchen" represents having community volunteers get together to help residents at senior homes feel more included within society at these times. As the name implies, Kaitlyn hopes for a close-knit community that makes food together as though everyone is part of one kitchen. Similar to how neighbors have close relationships with one another, Kaitlyn aspires for this organization to run the same way as people strive to help out senior citizens.
